Pensioner Bondholder Discussion board engages former Presidents on exemption from Home Debt Trade Programme

The Pensioner Bond­holder Discussion board has begun the method of engagements with Former Presi­dent John Agyekum Kufuor and Former President John Dramani Mahama to hunt their sym­pathy, assist and intervention for its trigger.

The discussion board mentioned because of these engagements, “We’ve got cancelled our meant convergence on the premises of the Ministry of Finance on Mon­day, January 23, 2023, and knowledgeable the Police accordingly.”

Pensioner Bondholder Discussion board is a discussion board for the safety of pen­sioner investments, and serves because the mouthpiece of all retirees throughout the nation who’ve invested in Gov­ernment Bonds.

 Adu A. Antwi, Discussion board Convener, mentioned “now we have petitioned the gov­ernment to exempt all pensioners holding Authorities Bonds from the Home Debt Trade Programme on the identical foundation used for the exemption of Pension Funds from the programme.”

It mentioned they haven’t obtained any response from the Gov­ernment. Initially, they notified the Police that about 50 of its members meant to converge on the premises of the Ministry of Finance on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 0900 hours to demand that the Minister holds a gathering with representatives on the petition.

It mentioned the discussion board would notify the Police ought to the necessity come up later for them to converge on the premises of the Ministry. -GNA
