The Volta River Authority (VRA) showed
class at the second Ghana Procurement and Supply Chain Awards (GHAPSCA) by scooping
five awards.
This is the second consecutive
time the authority has been awarded for consistently demonstrating leadership
and innovation in the Procurement and Supply Chain industry.
The award ceremony,
which was organised by Distinct Wave, sought to honour and celebrate outstanding achievements of teams,
stakeholders and individuals who have demonstrated unparalleled ability to
succeed and continually set standards of excellence in the Procurement and
Supply Chain profession.
Awards received by the VRA included;
Excellence in Public Procurement (Gold), Best in Public
Procurement & Supply Chain Compliance (Gold), Innovative Use of Technology
in Public Procurement and Supply Chain (Silver), Procurement & Supply Chain
Team of the Year: Public Sector (Silver), and Public Sector Supply Chain
Leadership Award – Ing. Emmanuel
Antwi-Darkwa, CEO – VRA.
Present to receive the awards for
VRA were Mr Ebenezer Tagoe, Deputy Chief Executive (Finance); Mrs Miriam Lartekai
Darke, Director, Procurement; Dr Mrs I. Stella Agyenim-Boateng, Director, Human
Resources; and some staff of the Procurement Department.
The event was graced by high-profile personalities, including the Minister of State in-charge of Public Procurement, Sarah Adwoa Safo, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority, and procurement professionals in both public and private practice.
