Telecommunication
giant, AirtelTigo, has donated assorted items to two schools at the La Wireless
Cluster of Schools, in the Greater Accra Region, as part of its corporate
social responsibility.

The items
include educational materials, food items and cloths, in an initiative dubbed
‘The Season of Random Kindness’.

Through
this initiative, employees of the company support a worthy cause by investing
their time and resources to provide essential supplies for schools, hospitals
and orphanages.

Presenting
the items, the Chief Human Resource Officer at AirtelTigo, Mr Eric Adadevoh,
said creating values and improving lives was part of their culture, as
demonstrated by the staff and the time invested in supporting communities.

He said the
donations would go a long way to help the pupils, saying that, “We see
ourselves as development partners and the ‘Season of Random Kindness’ will
continue to be used as a gesture to impact lives.”

Mr Edward
Opoku Manu, the Circuit Supervisor for La Wireless Cluster of Schools, thanked
the organisation for the donations and said it will boost the children’s morale
to learn.

In another
development, AirtelTigo has also made a donation to the Sekondi School for the Deaf
in the Western Region.

The
Commercial Head for Western and Central Regions, Mr Judah Entsua-Mensah, lauded
the school for nurturing children with disabilities in the region.

He encouraged the children to believe in themselves and expressed the hope that the donation would help meet some of their needs.-GNA
